The Environmental Choice Ecologo

The Environmental Choice Program is North America's leading benchmark of environmentally responsible products and services. Environment Canada's program provides consumers with a level of assurance that the products bearing the EcoLogo™, meet stringent environmental criteria. The mark also tells the consumer that the manufacturer of the product has been audited by a credible third party. Rechargeable Alkaline batteries are the only batteries to receive the EcoLogo™ certification based on three key factors:

Unlike other rechargeables, Rechargeable Alkaline contains no toxic substances; Rechargeable Alkaline can be recharged 100's of times leading to over a 90% reduction in waste entering landfills compared to single-use alkaline batteries; The production of batteries generates tonnes of Greenhouse Gases annually – the use of Rechargeable Alkaline instead of single-use can reduce Greenhouse Gases by over 90%.

Rechargeable Alkaline wins Green Innovation Silver Award

In May Pure Energy's Canadian distributor Sure-Gro Inc. was presented with the "Green Innovation" Silver award for the Perfectly Natural Solutions™ Rechargeable Alkaline battery and lawn & garden products at the 63rd annual National Hardware Show held in Las Vegas this past May 6-8. The 2008 National Hardware Show featured over 3,500 exhibitors from around the world. The first-ever Innovative Green Awards were presented by an esteemed panel of home channel retailers and industry experts. Retailers were asked to judge the best "green, eco-friendly products" that address environmental concerns.
